Ohio’s fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum specialist dietitian

Alyssa Broadwater, RD

Wherever you are in your baby journey – planning, growing, or cuddling, I can help you become a nourished, confident, healthy mom instead of a confused mom-to-be.

Nutrition is more powerful than you think.

And when you’re planning a baby or already pregnant, what we eat becomes even more important.

For many of my clients, all they want is a dietitian to help them!

  • Ditch the Google overwhelm and get practical advice on what to eat before and during pregnancy.
  • Get their body ready for a healthy, happy pregnancy.
  • Know they’re doing the best for them and baby.

You deserve to take control over your health and the health of your future children.

When pregnancy and having a baby are in your plans, the dream is to be a confident, healthy mom.

And the way to achieve that is to nourish your body with the best foods that help you get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

It’s frustrating trying to find relevant, practical, and safe fertility and prenatal nutrition information from health providers or the internet.

A list of what food to avoid when pregnant or which prenatal vitamin to take just scratches the surface!

Why did no one tell you how powerful nutrition is?!

Hi, I’m Alyssa

I know what it’s like to feel frustrated when you realize how much impact nutrition can make but can’t find trusted information to act on. I believe you deserve to set yourself and your baby up for a great, healthy future.

Imagine the peace of mind that comes with knowing you’ve given your baby the best start in life – to be healthy and happy. All because of the foods you’ve nourished your body with during pregnancy.

What you eat is more than just giving your new baby the best start. What you eat before, during and after pregnancy can set you up to be healthy now and into the future.

So you can make sure you’ll be able to love and enjoy your family for years to come.

As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, when I started specializing in fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum nutrition, the lack of practical, safe, and evidence-based information I found shocked me.

It got me thinking.

If I wasn’t clear about the importance of certain micronutrients, that just taking a prenatal vitamin won’t cover your essential nutrient needs, or that nutrition and lifestyle can make a significant impact on fertility, then many other women might be missing out on this vital information too.

This is arguably the time in life when nutrition matters most, but few providers talk much about pregnancy nutrition at all.

Food is not just fuel. It’s our way to show love, connect with others, change our quality of life, and impact the future health of our children (and even grandchildren).

So, what better place to start than with the food we choose to nourish ourselves with before, during and after pregnancy?

Working with Alyssa has been great. She is so attentive and understanding. She really focuses on making sure you feel heard and validated in your concerns without passing any judgment. Being formally on a ketogenic diet, she has been so helpful with the transition to a more balanced lifestyle and has made the transition very smooth. She has helped me so much with my mindset and view of food along the transition, along with educating me on eating balanced during this period of trying to conceive. The education and resources she has provided me along this journey has been so beneficial to help me learn and understand how to fuel my body properly for pregnancy. I am so excited to continue working with Alyssa during my fertility journey and looking forward to how much more I can learn and grow!
